Parallel Lines

Two lines that are not supposed to meet: a 5K in Chicago on a prosthesis, inside 45:59 — and a one-man studio counting to its first million. This blog draws both, once a week, in numbers.

In geometry, parallel lines never meet. I learned that in school — long before my call sign became "Professor."

Line one. In October 2027, in Chicago, I will walk a 5K on a prosthesis. Not "participate." Walk the full 3.1 miles inside the official limit: 45 minutes, 59 seconds. Today, I cannot do that. That is not a confession. It is a starting coordinate. I have eleven months, one leg that is partly carbon and titanium, and a plan.

Line two. Professor Web Studio — my one-man studio — is on its way to its first million dollars. Not "someday." Counted. In public. Dollar by dollar, the same way I will count kilometers.

One line is a body that had to be rebuilt. The other is a business being built from zero — in a new country, in a language I am still learning.

This blog is where both lines get drawn, once a week, with numbers. No motivational posters. The numbers either move or they don't, and you will see them either way.

Parallel lines don't meet. That's the rule.

Rules are just problems nobody has finished solving yet.

The counters

Line one — The Road — target 45:59

Today: Not yet

Line two — The Studio — target $1,000,000
